Curt M. Adams is Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research and Linda Clarke Anderson Presidential Professor in the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education at the University of Oklahoma. He is director and co-founder of the Oklahoma Center for Education Policy at the University of Oklahoma, and founder and past director of the San Miguel School in Tulsa. For over 20 years, Dr. Adams has engaged educational leadership praxis and scholarship as an ongoing pursuit of social transformation grounded in social and cognitive psychology. His organizational research on trust, self-determination theory, and leadership conversation advances knowledge on how to build and sustain thriving schools and systems and has appeared in journals such as Teachers College Record, Educational Administration Quarterly, and the Journal of Educational Research. He is co-author of two books, Collective Trust: Why Schools Can’t Improve Without It and A Primer on Quantitative Research in Education. As an educational scholar-leader, Dr. Adams works in collaboration with communities, students and colleagues, school district partners, state agencies, foundations, scholarly associations, and organizations to engage transformative justice work as a collective pursuit.
